Sometimes we are asked to submit files that meet a specific size. This may be by size, megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB), pixels (px), inches (in), and many more. Here we show you how to:
Adjust an image to be 6″ x 12″ (152.4 mm x 304.8 mm) AND Be 3600 pixels x 1800 pixels with 300 dpi.
STEP ONE
Part 1 — Inside Adobe Photoshop, there is a menu titles Image.
Part 2 — When you click on the Image menu, the pull-down menu will pop up.
Part 3 — Choose Image Size.
STEP TWO
Part 1 — The Image box will come up. Unclick the chain to turn off the linking size ration.
Part 2 — Change the size of the artwork to 12″ x 6″ (inches)
STEP THREE
Part 1 — After the file is converted to a 12″ x 6″ file size. You now need to change the resolution.
Part 2 — Click inside the resolution box, and change it to 300 dpi.
WELL DONE!
You will now see a file that is 12″ x 6″ with a 300 dpi and 3600 x1800 pixel size.Join the Color Collective
